Sailing in the Basin
A beautiful but very windy evening that made for great sailing.
As I mentioned in my last post a few of us from the Sackville Photo Club try to get together for a shoot and coffee on Wednesday evenings in place of the club meeting that is in hiatus during the summer. Amanda has dubbed us the: W.P.G. (Wednesday Photo Gang) :-)
Anyway, Nancy, Amanda,(and her caddy, err... I mean husband Robert), Deb, Darrell, Susan & I met up last night at the China Town restaurant which overlooks the Bedford Basin. Nancy found out that the yacht club were having their races that night. We hoped for good skies and a few photo ops. We weren't disappointed, the wind was very high and the sky was great!
Just a standard 3 exposure shot processed in CS5's HDR Pro. I however have found a bit of a problem with it though. Even though I turned on the "reduce ghosting" feature I still got a lot of ghosting showing through which I had to clone out. I guess I will just go back to manually blending? I usually only use 2 exposures anyway; one for the foreground and one for the sky as I prefer a more natural look most of the time.
Canon 7D : Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L : 1/13s @ f/16 : ISO 200
(this is just the exif from one of six exposures of course)
Please, no multiple invites or crazy glittery graphics. Thank You
