Breastfeeding symbol

I read about this symbol by Matt Daigle here

My wife is a trainee breastfeeding counsellor, so I am uploading this image (which is copyright free) to show my support.

sad that its thought necessary to designate special places to do something so innately natural
  • Rob 9y

I agree George. It's for wider use too:
The purpose of an international symbol for breastfeeding is to increase public awareness of breastfeeding, to provide an alternative to the use of a baby bottle image to designate baby friendly areas in public, and to mark breastfeeding friendly facilities. (

I agree with's a shame... my boy was brought into the world with his mother having no preconceptions of when and where is good to do it... nothing stopped his mum breastfeeding, but it is so very suprising when you over hear another mother getting told off by some security guard becasue she is feding her child....tis a crazy world.
