Dr. Benjamin Rush, Signer and "Father of American Psychiatry"

Dr. Rush had many achievements, including being a signer of the Declaration, an early leader fighting Yellow Fever disease, a noted abolitionist, an educator and a humanitarian...quite a "resume".

The oak tree in the back of his tomb was planted in 1885 by the Women's Christian Temperance Union in honor of his efforts in advocated temperance. Even the tree is cool.........
