Malcolm X 1965 and Barack Obama 2008

Way back in 1965 - the year Malcolm X was killed - we knew there were great divides amongst the people and we were afraid of those that spoke out in a radical way. Racism was a huge issue.

Today, in 2008, we have a distinguished President, Barack Obama, who is half African-American. He fought racism all the way to the Presidency.

I wonder, what would Malcolm would have thought of President Barack Obama?

Please enlarge this photo to see the details. The marker is very worn. Malcolm and his wife, Betty, are side by side in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, Westchester County, NY.
