Dinghy cruising from Crouch to Mersea - June 2008
On Friday 27th 2008, Tom Loosemore and Stephen Dunn sailed Wanderer W917 from Creeksea SC just upriver from Burnham on Crouch) to Battlesbridge at the head of the tidal Crouch. About 10Nm sailed.

Next morning, Saturday 28th June, we ran down the entire navigable length of the River Crouch, then headed north across Dengie Flats, before beating into the mouth of the River Blackwater to West Mersea. We then had lunch before returning to the Crouch and recovering at Creeksea after sundown.

An amazing day's sailing. Over 50Nm sailed in ideal offshore F4/5 conditions with sunshine. Pretty much dinghy cruising perfection.
