Near the Clouds
There’s something about being high up. The air is so much cleaner and crisper, refreshing our senses and filling the body with vitality. It is harder for humanity to make it’s mark of civilisation at the higher reaches, so nature grows wilder and purer. The light cuts through the thinner air and at higher elevations one can see further, expanding our perception to see a bigger picture. But perhaps one of the most profound feelings of all in mountains, is that feeling of being at the top of the planet. Invoking perhaps less a feeling of grandeur, but one of freedom. Being so near the clouds, that you can almost reach out and touch them. Just a small leap from flying into the endless skies.
