Finally posting my first photo after returning from our December WDW trip on Monday. I haven't had much of a chance to review images, as I brought back a nasty cold (something about being outside daily from 10 am until 2 am might have done it!) and have had to upgrade to Photoshop CS5 since CS3 doesn't handle the D7000's RAW files. Hoping to get more sorted and edited tomorrow night.
I had two versions of this shot edited, one with less foreground, and this one. I opted for this one as I think the cracks in the foreground add elements of depth and interest. Thoughts?
The cold weather wasn't really conducive to shooting and I don't think I was on my A game most days, anyway, but hopefully I got some okay stuff. I guess we'll see as I review the photos I took.
Despite the cold weather, the trip was great. It was our wedding gift from my parents, so I didn't do many of the meet-ups with the rest of the gang, but the WDW Today Reunion and WDW Photography events I did attend were awesome. Of these, the Wonders of Life Meet & Greet, Desserts and De-Lights (the above photo is from this meet), and Professional Photographer meets were real highlights. It was great to see old friends, put avatar photos with in the flesh faces, and chat (if only briefly) a bit. It was also fun touring with my parents, and doing things in a different style.
The trip concluded on a definite high note, with the D23 Magic & Merriment event. I'm excited about some of the photos from these events, although they likely won't see the light of day until after the holiday season (at least, the ones that aren't Christmas-specific).
