Hotel Toledo

From the old home town, Toledo, Iowa. My family lived around here for well over 100 years. The Lincoln Highway split one of our farms in two.

My Great great grand parents, my Great grandparents, my Grandmother and my Parents are all buried within under a 1/4 mile of the Lincoln Highway. As are dozens of cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. Even Mom & Dad met at college in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, on the LH.

My mother and eldest Brother were born on the lincoln Highway in Carroll, Iowa. I was born on it in Marshalltown, Iowa. I'm tightly entwined in the old highway.
