      Hey... that's a french maid.
      Dressing up as a cheerleader.
      What the...?!
Oh, wait - you say it's the other way 'round? Okay... got you. Now I finally get the Halloween reference. *soundoflightbulblightingup*
Okay Sean, I promise: This was the last silly comment I'll leave on this series of football related images.
(The fact is - they all seem pretty good to me... but I really know next to nothing about football, so I can't really comment on their content.)

I know that the NFL (National Football League - in America) is trying really hard to broaden it's viewership across the globe. In fact, in the past couple years, they've been playing one or two of their games abroad (usually in England at Wembley Stadium.) So perhaps someday it will become a household sport in Germany.

If you ever get the chance to go to a game, I highly encourage it. Whether you fully understand what's going on or not, it is still a lot of fun. I know that the NFL has a European league that plays during the off-season. In fact, I believe there is (or was) a team in Frankfurt called the Galaxy.

When I was in Germany I really got into fussball. It's an amazing sport. It never was really big here but it is really gaining ground. That is partly due to the recent acquisition of David Beckham by the Los Angeles team.

Maybe someday American Football will be big in other countries. Like I said, I really recommend going to a game if you ever get a chance. Perhaps you can wiki the game beforehand so you have a basic understanding - might help in the enjoyment.

Just as a late followup to your comment about football:
I actually *do* now a little bit about football (but I was exaggerating only slightly when I said "next to nothing"). And in fact, I even watched a game or two... a long time ago when I still went to school in Hanau in the early nineties: Back then, the "Hanau Hawks" where quite a successful team, and as far as I remember they even played in the premier league (what was later to become the GFL - German Football League). (By googling a bit I just found out that this team doesn't exist anymore - the successor being the "Hanau Hornets"). Another German team from right around the corner are "Frankfurt Galaxy" - they even won the world bowl several times. Unfortunately, they also ceased to exist just recently. (The reason being the fact that the NFL Europe also ceased to exist, if I got that correctly.)
See, we *do* have some football over here, and okay, I actually know the difference between offense and defense - but that's about it. ;-)
