The ticket said "no camera or recorders", but flashes were going off all over the place. :P

This really made me appreciate the shutter-priority mode on my Fujifilm F30. Even though it doesn't have full manual, the shutter-priority is useful in a case like this when I want to artificially shorten the exposure beyond what I could do even with exposure compensation set to -2. (The backlighting effect wreaked havoc with the auto-exposure. :P) I set this to 1/60 sec.

great colours indeed. the fact that someone else is taking a picture at that same time is a nice touch.

Actually, it was basically manual exposure. The auto exposure would have over-exposed even at EV -2. The F30 didn't actually have full manual, but it did have a shutter priority mode. Faster than a certain shutter speed, the aperture basically maxed out, and so by setting it to shutter speed = 1/60, I knew it would stay on max aperture (f/5.0 at this zoom level).
