Dodging Rickshaws | Paharganj, Delhi, India
We touched down in Delhi at 1:30 am after an eight and a half hour flight from London. A short night's sleep later, we emerged from our hotel onto Arakashan Road. This was a relatively calm part of the day though we didn't realize it at the time.
We were off in search of a grocery store—though our main goal was simply to avoid getting run down in the street. We weren't entirely successful. Darla was struck by the mirror on a rickshaw after becoming distracted by something along the road. She came out of the incident unscathed but it served as a further reminder that we needed to keep our heads on a swivel when out and about.
