Day 82 - Shallow Grave
Pushing my boundaries a bit again. This is a direction that I really want to go, a noir storyboard/comic book style. Not at all sure yet how to work the details, so I'm experimenting as I go.
Set out this evening to find some nice alleys / urban spots for future noir-styled shots (I've got plans, see?), but the dense fog was better at the top of the coastal hills than down in The Cove (closer to the sea, and to sea-level), so I decided to go for the fog and hunt alleys another night. Stood out in an empty eucalyptus grove trying to trigger the camera with the little IR remote, and trying to get flashes to go off properly with wireless TTL without being in-frame. (I really need pocket wizards/radio poppers, the IR bit fails me so often when I go outdoors.)
The top two images have a high-ish power bare flash in 'em, the bottom is just ambient. I don't think the details are terribly interesting though, so I'll skip the strobist info.
