Day 57 Alt - Are You Kidding Me?
My parents bought this bizarre old bus that's really got a lot of fascinating textures and a great old vibe to it. It sits in the driveway. After dark we went out there and set up some lighting and took this great series. More to come.
It is kinda weird setting up lighting and posing/composing in almost pitch black. (All the light in this is from the strobes, without the AF assist beam this would have been really impossible. And without the power of a strobe, I couldn't have gone to a small enough aperture to make such hit-or-miss focus work. Ahh, lighting.)
Strobist info: a 430 in 1" white plastic grid on a boom above the subject, @ 1/8th. A 430 in shoot-through umbrella at about chest height, ~8 feet camera left providing fill. Triggered via a 580 master on camera, (not contributing to the exposure). The outdoor space coupled with IR triggers was a little hit-or-miss. This made me want radio triggers more than almost any shot before.
