(Species # 437) Becoming An American : Red-Legged Thrush

Unlike human, which could face deportation if entered into U.S./Canada illegally; a bird that wanders into North America would AMERICAN (species) !!! LOL.

On Nov 2010, the ABA (American Birding Association) has added this species on the North American Checklist based on a lone bird:

Added: RED-LEGGED THRUSH (Turdus plumbeus)

Code: 5.

Placement: after American Robin.

Comments: One adult at Maritime Hammock Sanctuary, Melbourne Beach, Brevard County, Florida, on 31 May 2010. Discovered and photographed by Marcus Ponce and not observed again....

(Captured this one in Holguin of Cuba over a year ago, search did not show any decent flight shot of this thrush neither on the web nor on various photo sharing sites including Flickr....One more "armchair" species for me....(smile))
