My favourite flight image of a HORNED LARK (female)taking off captured at Halls Road, Whitby, Ontario, Canada; saved for this day !!!


Interesting facts: A sparrow sized bird, this bird is called Shore Lark in other parts of the world.

Horned Larks are strictly ground dwellers; when one is seen at rest off the ground, its perch is usually a post or fence rail, not a tree. These birds usually fly at very low levels.... (Birds of Nova Scotia)
