A Working Class Hero is Something to be
You can probably tell that I'm getting to the end of this short run of photos I took in my schooldays of the rapidly disappearing Fleetwood Fishing Industry?
In fact, looking at all the paraphernalia that adorns this example, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was over already, but no, this is an area where tools were being maintained and wooden packaging prepared on a daily basis.
The chap in the groovy seventies threads was my school mate 'Anton'. He and I also went to art college together towards the end of the decade.
What really freaked me out about this photo was I guessed we took these around the summer of 1974 and I picked an arbitrary month of July. However, if you look closely at the original sized version, you can see reasonably clearly that a calendar on the wall reveals December 1974. I didn't know this until today - how's that for pinpointing the date of 30 year old negatives?!
