Freshly picked chanterelles from the forest behind my childhood home. Cooked in butter, salt, pepper and a small amount of cream. Very good to eat on bread with a tasty cheese.
Chanterelles grow in clusters in mossy parts of pine forests. They are high in potassium and very rich in Vitamin D.
They grow in northern Europe, North America, Mexico, and Asia including the Himalayas.
