NATCA Communicating For Safety Conference 2008
The National Air Traffic Controllers Association hosts the annual Communicating for Safety Conference. The conference, intended for pilots, dispatchers, and controllers, is the premier event of its kind.

This year the conference was held in Chicago at the Crown Plaza O’Hare. In addition to a world class safety conference, the after hours events included an AOPA Safety Conference, a charitable fund raiser called Texas Hold ‘em, and the 4th Annual Archie League Air Traffic Control Medal of Safety awards program.

Thanks go out to all the folks who made this event a great success. Thanks to the NATCA Safety Committee, to all the speakers, and represented organizations. AOPA, ALPA, APA, NBAA, and others. Thanks to Aaron of Chicago Poker Party for keeping the fundraiser moving and overseeing all the tables. Thank you to the staff of Crown Plaza. The service was fine and the food was delectable.

In some instances, I snapped a photo of a speaker’s slide instead of taking lots of notes. I have posted some of these to give you a sense of the subject matter covered.
