Pollinated Bee

Newer Older

Ever wondered how pollen gets around? This little bee does it all himself by the looks of it.

Chicago Wedding Photographer, Laurie Peacock, and 3 other people added this photo to their favorites.

    . . .does it all HERSELF. . .
Only the females gather pollen and have the equipment to do so. This is a girl.

Great shot a little blurry though.Sorry if it seems low but I can't rest on the fact that the whole abdomen is out of focus you can see it better in all sizes.

Mizzbee - Sorry! With that name, you'd know I suppose...

Camden - Fair enough. I know it's unfocused, but I thought the polleny goodness of the rest of the shot made up for it. And it does - 23.5/25!

    Thanks all!

    BEEautiful!
I can't work out why his torso's out of focus at f3.5 Sure it's wide aperture but you must've been pretty close to the critter.

It's unfocused because it was windy (hence the sunflower swinging toward and away from the camera) and the bee wouldn't stop wiggling her ass...
