Badger in Sunshine: And please stop the cull.

This is the first Badger I have ever seen in sunshine as they don't usually emerge near me until after the sun has set. It is also the first Badger I have ever taken with my macro lens. I took it yesterday evening on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Unfortunately it didn't stay out for long. I know it isn't a frame filler but if you click on the image and zoom in it shows great detail in the fur.


What on earth is Andrea Leadsom doing extending a ridiculous, pointless and cruel cull of these beautiful creatures. This daft decision has no scientific basis and is purely political. There is an e-petition that has just opened against the cull that was started by Simon King on behalf of the Wildlife Trusts. It would be great if we can show the Government that this move is not a wise move politically. Nine thousand people have signed since last night so it has real momentum (It was on 11,750 this morning). Here's a link to the petition:
