we had garlic of course, but parsley makes me rift (as I heard an old woman in a supermarket in Cleveland once say).

wow,a window onto another world. Lovely contrast and atmosphere.

Nice capture, you've controlled the light levels well. Very atmospheric as a result.

However - though you've got one range sorted perfectly, the other looks a bit pants. No Aga? :-P

Hey - that is a top-of-the-range calor gas affair, I'll have you know. People kill for ovens with little built-in cupboards for the gas cylinder out there...

Great composition but the bright light is too much.

I know what you mean. My compact can't deal with the contrasts in this composition, but it had a good go...

Yeah, I am fighting with trying to explain what isn't working and maybe that is it that the colors are too blown out outside and black inside. It is hard to work with the limitations of the camera sometimes. Maybe a different time of day would have made it work.

Actually I (see above) thought it had made a very plucky attempt. I don't think my FX01 would have shown *anything* outside the window!

    15. mscjwharton 104 months ago | reply

Yup, it did great for the lighting. I agree!

    16. cer!se 104 months ago | reply

i think it's the contrast that makes it work so well in the first place, a more balanced picture, light-wise, wouldnt have any drama or mystery!
