Stefan - Stranger 59/100

I took a candid photograph of this gentleman at a bus stop a couple years ago when I first began shooting on the street, hoping every day since, I would bump into him again. He represents what was, to me, a very glamorous period of the 20th century, when men still wore suits and ties...and fedoras for that matter. Every now and again I glimpse a remnant from that time and this morning he was sitting in a chair outside of a small privately owned clothing shop, enjoying the unseasonably warm November day. I was so happy to see him that I went right over and shook his hand, ecstatically complimenting him on his outfit. He responded with a smile, asking me if I had ever been to Paris - in a voice so soft it was barely audible. I told him that I hadn't, but would love to someday. When I asked him for his portrait, he nodded, held up his index finger to indicate he needed a moment and proceeded to stand and remove his overcoat. I took a few photos, thanked him, and asked him his name to which he responded Stefan.
