Polar Bear

We left Svarlbad behind and headed North towards the Sea Ice (which is well north of the Islands this year). At 2:30 AM we were woken by a tannoy call from Hannah - We had spotted our first Polar Bear - Initially swimming in front of the ice he was tricky to find, but unmistakeable once you had seen him. He then climbed out on to the ice for the perfect Arctic photograph
