QRCode-enhanced Real Estate Lawn Sign
"Location domains" for real-estate signs are all the rage with realtors; the point is, of course, that the domain name "123mainstreet.com" makes it much more likely that a prospect will remember the URL, and go to it when they get back to their computer at home.
But what if there was something that made it easy for the prospect to visit a mobile-enabled website WHILE THEY'RE STANDING RIGHT THERE, with the ability to ping the listing agent and ask them to call back right then and there?
What if the real estate sign made it easy for the user to view a video of the interior? Pull up a Google Maps interface showing comparable homes in the area?
All of that stuff is totally possible to do now, of course -- the point is that if the QRCode makes it *easy* to do, then it's a win.
1) User drives by house for sale.
2) User pulls out phone, kind of waves it around in the air near the sign.
3) User reads website about house. Maybe pushes a button to add it to "houses I'm considering." Or maybe clicks the "Hey, listing agent! CALL ME RIGHT NOW!" link.
The square part of this plastic sign is real (it's a prototype) the pointy roof was photoshopped on by Kenn Munk as we explore what a real-estate sign should look like.
