What is your name, stone?

"Each of the stones has a name: for example the large stone in the center of the pond is known as "Ecstatic Contemplation", while another, that forms a stone bridge, is called the "Bridge of the Pillar of the Immortals".

Each vista is meant to bring to mind a reference to one of the Chinese of Japanese literary classics."

In the background on the right: the Togu-do (East Request Hall), Ginkaku-ji Temple's only other building besides the Silver Pavilion which dates back to the temple's foundation (1485).
