Cat in Snow, c1943

The cat's name was "Boston Snowball", named after the coal soot covered snow around my grandparents' house.

More of Snowball.

They were living in half of a house rented in Belmont, MA near MIT, while my grandfather worked at government labs during World War 2. Call it 1943.

Photographed by David C. Cook. From my grandfather's slide collection, which I've begun scanning. Here are more of Boston. And here are photos by my grandfather from other cities around the world.

Updated the caption with the cat's name and a better guess at the date.
