Corner Market Building, Seattle

    Newer Older

The spot right on the corner of 1st and Pike, where it says "Pike Place Flowers" under the canopy, was a branch of Eba's grocery store chain in the late 1920s. I am writing an article about Eba's and will link to it in the next couple of months.

Here's info about the building from the UW architect db.

I'm writing series on the history of chain grocers in Seattle. The first chapter is here.
