A Beautiful Face
A 300mm -even with converter- is a bit short for bird photography.
Dutch birds are usually quite shy and hardly ever come close enough.
Fortunately there are these Scandinavian beauties that aren't used to humans and somehow this makes them less elusive.
It's a bit sad to realise that knowing humans is a reason to be scared (I wish it could be the other way around), but nevertheless it's a nice opportunity.
I found some waxwings enjoying their crab-apples and they let me come close enough to portray their pretty face.
Wouldn't it be nice if it would always be like this..?
