PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A 108-year-old firehouse in Peekskill collapsed
into a heap of rubble just before noon today. The Centennial Firehouse was set to be moved a few hundred yards away (to make room for the new Route 9), but a mechanical mishap caused the structure to tumble over.
