Point-and-Shoot Bird Photography
This set is a random selection of birds I have photographed with a Point-and-shoot camera. Many "authorities" deem Point-and-shoot cameras unusable for bird photography. This is far from the truth. While one must work much harder to obtain quality results with a point-and-shoot, and action shots are usually difficult to achieve, one shouldn't limit themselves because they can't afford a $3,000 camera. Each of these photos was shot with one the following:

Canon sx 40 HS for more recent photos

Canon sx 30 IS for Nevada shots

Sony HX1 with teleconverter for most older shots

Several 6x to 10x zoom cameras for a few shots

Several shot taken hrough a spotting scope
