Slowly Vanishing Snow (Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8)

Zeiss announced their newest lens today (the Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8 APO Sonnar T*), but, lucky me, I've had one in hands for a few weeks to play with. I shared this shot for a couple of reasons. First is that I know from experience that this type of shot, wide open, with a bright distant point of focus, is really challenging. This lens is essentially perfectly sharp in that scenario. I wish you could see the detail at a pixel level. It is awesome. Secondly, is that I liked the way the snow in the foreground is shrinking back, exposing the bed of pine needles underneath. It's a good representation of what is happening around here right now.
