One of the Best Views in San Francisco

    Prev Next

You can get one of the best views in San Francisco by venturing up to the catwalk at the top floor of the Mandarin Hotel. Here a glass catwalk separates the two hotel towers. You may want to try dressing nicer and looking like a guest as you quickly make your way to the elevator to take this shot, otherwise they might end up bouncing you out. Say hello and nod knowingly to the service staff as you enter the hotel and head straight back to the hotel past the bar and into the elevator before hitting the top floor button.

      Hi Thomas,
My name is Jenny and I'm the sales coordinator for Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco. This photo is fantastic! We would love to add it to our Facebook Gallery. Do we have your permission?

Would it be possible to find out the settings you used for this photo? I'm traveling to San Francisco soon and would love to take some shots similar to this. And your twilight settings are spot on!

I do believe that was my first photowalk. Good times.

Wow, thanks for the location tip! I'm disappointed that SF doesn't have more lookouts like this that are publicly accessible.

I ended up here typing 'places for photography in bay area' in Google, looking for an interesting place to go take some photos. You've inspired me to try this risky maneuver. I am prepared to don my imaginary spy suit, tap on walls, and break a few necks from behind to meet my destination.
