• The wheels seem too big to me. Are they definitive ? - John Lamarck
  • Based on my calculations, they are about about 1 stud too wide, and have too great a diameter by about 1/2 stud. So yeah, but I think they will work the best for this model.

Spitfire WIP 2

Newer Older

I have made a lot of progress since my last post. I know, it doesn't look much different, but all of the internal functions are done, the control surfaces are set, the dimensions have been finalized, and landing gear is set.

I am in the midst of acquiring all the dark green I need to finish the model. Thank goodness for 10226 and 21016. I'm happy I stuck with it. It's going to be epic.

Looking forward to see this done, great job on the structure so far. Particularly like the tail, looks very accurate.
Are you going to brick build the canopy, or gonna leave it like on your Fw-190 ?
And did you manage to include pitch controller on the propeller ? In which case it would awesome !

I can't imagine how good this will look in camo when finished! I really like the internal structure, and the functions are amazing! You captured the shape of the tail very well.
My only nitpick are the legs of the main landing gear, they look a bit too thick.

Thanks. I am not sure what I am going to do with the canopy yet. At this point something that will open will be challenging enough. Yes, the prop includes pitch from the great design of Cpt Postma.

Thanks. Yeah, I am not pleased with the landing gear, but it needs to be strong. I may see if I can make some changes.

Oh this is looking amazing! It would be a shame to cover all of the hard work you've put into the flight control lines. Keep persevering mate!
