Comparing Coconuts - Malayan Tall & Malayan Red Dwarf

This is a shot showing the physical differences between the Malayan Tall (MT) coconut and Malayan Red Dwarf (MRD) coconut. Both coconuts are a few days old after ripening on the tree. Of course, the MT is a larger and taller tree so its nuts are also larger while the MRD (commonly called yellow coconut locally) is smaller. The MT also has more water in it compared to the MRD. However both are quite heavy and I think if a car were to park underneath the trees where these two came from, the car would be dented by both of them when they fall. Averagely, 150 people die each year after being hit on the head by a falling coconut!
