I miss mine too. The lens on that camera is the best I've ever owned, and I've had many good lenses. I will own a G2 soon, though. Already have the 45 planar.

I have a Konica Big Mini which I love, so I can't justify buying another point and shoot. However, I have my eye on one these when the time comes.

The expectancy of loading up a camera with fresh film.... this might be the one which captures the perfect picture. It's like the beginning of a new football season. It's the hope that kills you, of course.

Is this a eulogy for Portra 400VC, or are they still making it for 35mm? I was stricken when they discontinued the 120mm line last year. Stricken! It's a beautiful shot for some beautiful film. :)

As far as I know, VC and NC are gone in all formats, to be replaced with the "new" Portra. I'm going through some pretty tough times right now as I have learned that my favorite films--Fuji 160C and 160S are no longer going to be made. I also like to shoot 220 and I believe there is only one 220 film being produced now. I'm really disappointed.

Go to some pro-photostores and stack up, there should be some stock available for you out there.

ha! I hear you, Leila. The trick is to get a lens with a closer minimum focusing distance. ;)

I am partial to Portra 160, but I suppose 400 will suffice! Ha. This photo is fantastic.

Yeah, I like the 160 too, Grace.
