Ok, totally, utterly awesome quilt!!! I dig the border for so many reasons, but mostly because it looks just like the gum wrapper chains we used to make at summer camp!!! Did you ever make those? You're probably too young! Brilliant choice to border your blocks like that with the colours grading all the way around and just the right amount of sashing between the grannies. LOVE<3!!!

Thanks everyone! :) Ooo... a gum wrapper border! Love it! I use to have a friend in scouts who made them and always had tons of gum. I was soo jealous! Hah.

Holy crap! This is a beaut. Like everyone else has said, your border design and execution are just stellar! I would totally copy it but, tbh, I don't think I can face cutting out more squares! *g* Great job, really. How do you plan to quilt?

      Thanks everyone!

      - I am going to outline quilt the colored fabrics and then squares within squares for each layer of different colored squares. I am thinking something leafy for the sashing? I'll use perle cotton 8 in different colors so it will be a while.

If there is anyone wondering how to do this: add sashing that measures 3 1/4 inches cut, 2 3/4 inches finished. That is the why all the diagonal rows line up (the diagonal of all the finished squares is 2 3/4). Use your leftover 2.5 squares for the border. Thanks again for the sweet comments! :))
