On Wednesday 24th February, 2010, at the inaugural session of Global Citizenship Dialogues (GCD), a new initiative from The University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago, Mr Neil Prashad (left), Trinidad-born award-winning movie producer, humanitarian and businessman, discussed his experiences in Haiti in a one-on-one session in front of a live audience at the John F. Kennedy Quadrangle, with Mr. Sharan Chandradath Singh (right), Director of the UWI International Office (www.sta.uwi.edu/international).

The first GCD session aimed to raise awareness of Haiti’s condition and to champion a successful rebuilding and transformation effort in the island, which was struck by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on January 12th, 2010.
