Echino bag

    Newer Older

I needed a new bag so badly, so I made this one yesterday. I think it came out super cute!

the colors on this are wonderful! did you use a pattern? i have this bird/ball fabric with a turquoise background and would love to make a bag like this.

Robin: I didn't use a pattern, but I'd be happy to give you the measurements if you're interested. I've also written up a set of instructions just for myself so that I can duplicate it in the future. I can't guarantee that they'd make sense to anyone but me, but I'd be happy to send them to you.

Thank you both for the nice comments!

Great pattern to really show off this lovely fabric. Would you mind posting measurements? I am dying to make one of these out of some home dec weight Flea Market Fancy I have in my stash.

      Thank you everyone!

      The measurements are (in inches):
Main body of bag: 10.5 high x 16.5 wide
Band along the top: 14.5 wide x 2.5 high
Handles: 21 inches (mine are WAY too short--I'd make them at least 23 inches, maybe up to 25, depending on your preference)

      I hope that helps!

Your bag is terrific! And I like your choice of fabric for it.
