Lots of people with cameras photographing this controversial fountain at Olympic Sculpture Park near Elliott Bay in Seattle.
Father and Son by Louise Bourgeois.
I recall talk shows on the radio about it. People remember this, "standing head and shoulders" above the "information overload" of other art. Remembered when it comes to generating public comment.
The figures are nude. Also some people associate it with man / boy eroticism when they view it with "sound byte style notice."
On reading the description, it actually has something to do with "separation." Even I could take more time to read the description on Seattle Art Museum web site.
Time: That's what so many people don't have.
Gee, "if my art generated this amount of comment, I could quit my regular job and have even more time to appreciate scenery." There's an old phrase that goes, "laughing all the way to the bank." Often those who look like fools will have the last laugh.
Controversy creates exposure and exposure creates controversy.
