General Gilghouly and Shirley Shriek
Customised ghosts by Ian McLean, based on three unused designs of Patti Peticolas's "Kooky Spookys" finger puppets (Hasbro, 1968), I created these new ghosts by combining equal parts "Lemon" and glow-in-the-dark "Nightglow" shades of Staedtler brand "Fimo Soft" modelling compound - and baking them in the oven for 30 minutes each. Then I painted on facial features, again working from the original designs. Gilghouly (who originally name-swapped with Daddy Booregard, and was also a cousin) now carries a Civil War shotgun. As per the original sketch, a bluebird is perched on his weapon. Shirley Shriek was a design that eventually morphed into the released Mama Kaskit. Shirley wears a Fimo skull pendant on a silver chain.
