OK so I _WAS_ going to try and find a monogatari art book in Akihabara as a souvenir (much like I got a Haibane Renmei art book last time and a Cowboy Beebop art book the lime before that... but.. yeh no.... some how found my self buying these Hanakawa figurines instead...
.... and yes that is the interior of one of the capsule apartments at Nakagin.... yes I actually managed to rent one for a week ( indeed that is the whole reason for this trip having been almost a lifelong admirer of the building and the Japanese metabolism architecture movement)
