Fish Parade_Visual Arts_2019
This group of images focuses on a collection of capes made from Ivan Velez's Artopia workshops based on
the "exquisite corpse" drawing game, where each artist takes turns drawing on a large folded paper so that each can not see the contribution of the others. Ivan would call out the subject for each panel, whether it be, human, animal or alien.
Also, the resurrection flags, where extinct animals or near extinct, are honored on a kite an able to fly. (Made in 2015)
Both become part of the Fish Parade Costume Archive that can be used from year to year.
The video of AJ on his skateboard is adapted from a DYI Fishing Net designed by Brandon Ballengee, A POINT Visiting Artist/Biologist.
