Simplicity Day 5: Contemplate your shot {6/365}

Day 5: This assignment is to contemplate your shot. Think about what you want your photo to look like.

 

First, I picked a nectarine that was not totally beat up. I angled the nectarine so that the beat up side was in the back. I took the cut out piece of nectarine in sugar to get a little sparkle... this didn't turn out exactly how I wanted.

The white bowl is to keep any distraction away from the fruit. I placed this bowl on a brown basket for a little contrast in the background. The handle sort of distracts me, but I like this photo. :)

 

I also took this photo near a window, but I kept the shade closed to keep the glare of direct light off the fruit and bowl.
