New York Guardsman adds fuel to a Dakota stove during survival training

Staff Sgt. Stephen Tschiderer, a flight medic with the New York Army National Guard's 249th Medical Company (Air Ambulance), adds fuel to a Dakota stove during survival training near the Mount Morris Dam April 22, 2010. Since it gives off less light than an ordinary fire, the stove is used for cooking and warmth in situations where soldiers are trying to evade the enemy. (Photo by Staff Sgt. Raymond Drumsta, New York National Guard)
