beautiful craftsman house

i was driving down a random street on a random day in hollywood and i saw this perfect little craftsman house so i decided to stop illegally and take some pictures.

i love this particular craftsman house because the japanese influence is so clear and apparent.

it’s in the middle of hollywood, but it sort of kind of looks as if it could be in/on hokkaido.

ok, in the spirit of full disclosure: i’ve never been to hokkaido.

i was just trying to sound worldly.

i do know that there’s a pumpkin called the ‘hokkaido pumpkin’.

and i think that tadao ando has built some great buildings in hokkaido.

but again, i was just trying to sound fancy in referencing a place (hokkaido) to which i’ve never been.
