half the air in a given space

i just got back from the museum of contemporary art in vigo where they had an installation by martin creed entitled 'half the air in a given space'. the whole lower level of the museum was filled with bright blue balloons.

 

normally you go to a museum in the middle of the afternoon and there are a few people walking slowly and seriously, considering the gravity of the work in front of them. this installation consisted of people taking pictures of their kids while their kids ran around screaming through the museum filled with bright blue balloons. it was great.
