Sunrise at Camas Prairie Centennial Park and Red Sky

    Prev Next

This is another Sunrise shot of the Camas Prairie. The sky flashed read only for a few moments. I also found this lone white Camas Lilly to add a little uniqueness.

Took a trip to the Camas Prairie near Hill City Idaho with Dylan MacMaster. Want to try and capture these beauties during their short bloom cycle. They are amazing flowers.

Those clouds are beautiful and the field of flowers! Nicely captured!

Simply beautiful, love how the clouds lead the eye to the back of the photograph and who wouldn't like the pretty camas out on the flats. Glad you found so many in bloom. How lucky to get such a gorgeous morning sky with just the right amount of clouds to provide some interest.

This is a great capture. Can I ask you why did you use two symmetric planes instead of a more academic distribution?

      Balanegra
Thank you Balanegra, it was a tough call I generals try not to set center the horizon. It came down to what I was trying to capture. I wanted to include all the Camas I could and as much of the red sky I could. I tried some other cropping but I like this one best.

Ok, thank you for your quick and sincere answer. A risky framing :-)
