Vega

Vega (α Lyr, α Lyrae, Alpha Lyrae) is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, the fifth brightest star in the night sky and the second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere, after Arcturus. It is a relatively close star at only 25 light-years from Earth, and, together with Arcturus and Sirius, one of the most luminous stars in the Sun's neighborhood.

That's looking great...wish my scope was running as smooth.

Thanks Dave, but this was taken before it took a dump. Something happened to where I get triangles as stars now. I think I need to add more points on the cell The scope still has the stock cheap mirror cell on it. Thinkin of just getting a new cell

I am finding all sorts of reasons to think that a "one time" expense of a large, fast (read expensive...probably) refractor has some merit..:)
Triangles are (traditionally) supposed to mean that the (3) retaining clips are "pinching"....
But if its not that,or thermal issues,or collimation..........always something..

I know..but the pictures are sooo pretty when they do turn out ;)
Check this out though, I think I might have found a better cell for a good price: www201.pair.com/resource/astro.html/regular/products/cpt/...

    Good price for sure...
I am waiting on a mirror from Owl Optics...but am going to re use a 12" cell from a "Skywatcher"..
Not sure about wood....although I am no longer sure of anything....

Folks (Dob folks mostly) talking about 1 inch (thick) 16 inch mirrors, composite mirror...etc etc
    :)
