I cannot begin to tell you want an emotional experience it was to see the videos of old members of the Photo League on your web site. I was, as the British say best, "gobsmacked" by the list of its members, and saddened by the stories of persecution they told. I had to send the link to my son, Aaron Ellis (Elisha) who is a creative senior at Ohio U's visual communications school, stressing the message, "They were once 21 and idealist and passionate about photography as you are today." As Bob Hope once sang, "Thanks for the Memories."

My girlfriend and I look forward to visiting from Boston in a few weeks. 40 years ago, the Jewish Museum was arguably the best and most exciting place to see photography in NYC. Then it seemed to leave and wallow in arcane Jewish artifacts of little interest beyond a few academics and the Orthodox. By contrast, its exhibitions in recent years have been enough to attract us down from Boston again and again.

Really looking forward to seeing this exhibit come to San Francisco.
