Vol. 195, Issue 7 - toc1

A 3D-rendered time-lapse series shows the disassembly of the mitotic spindle (orange) after inactivation of the cyclindependent kinase Cdk1. Hégarat et al. reveal that spindle microtubules are stabilized in the absence of Aurora A and Aurora B activity, indicating that these two mitotic kinases regulate anaphase microtubule dynamics.
